The Conference will feature speakers and panelists covering a variety of subjects related to modern-day slavery, including panels on Victims’ Advocacy and Barriers, Fair Trade and Social Entrepreneurship, and Journalism Ethics and Social Issues, speakers like Social Work doctoral student Mustapha Alhassan, expert on forced child labor in Ghana, Dedee Lhamon, director of The Covering House, a St. Louis residential shelter for girls and young women who have survived sex trafficking, and Mike McGraw, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter from the Kansas City Star who recently collaborated on an exposé of trafficking in the US.

We will also be showing “Call + Response,” an award-winning documentary on modern-day slavery. You can view the trailer here: http://www.callandresponse.com/trailers.php
